.To promote a “Buy Local” culture within the Dalby business community

.To provide networking opportunities for local manufacturers.

.To facilitate and leverage opportunities that growth industries (such as Coal Seam Gas development) can provide to Local Manufacturers.

. To build awareness of the significance of Dalby’s manufacturing sector and promote Dalby as an industry hub for the region.

. To encourage mentoring and training that leads to meaningful career pathways and staff development and retention.

. The manufacturers group was re-established in 2011 has already kicked off with initiatives including:

.  Working closely with the Trade Training Centre at the Dalby State High School to mentor students on work release programs.

 .  Assisting Dalby State High School promote and provide employment for School Based Apprentices to those students selected to be part of the Trade Training Centre’s work ready program.
